Google Places Guideline Change - No Titles GEO Stuffing !

I got an alert last night that the Google Places Guidelines changed - For the Better IMO!
It's always been against the rules to add city or keywords to the business name on the Places listing. However violating that guide also helps ranking. So therefore many people do it anyway.
The MapMaker guidelines are inconsistent and blatantly say you can add city or keyword to name.
"A name should not include: Description or contact information. Exception: Single descriptor with business location or service offered by the business can be added to the name"
Consultants having hard time getting big franchise to rank, tell they had talked to several "industry pros" who all told him to add city to each location. Well now we know this bad idea !

2014 Industry Survey - Moz

In-house vs. Agency vs. Consultant

People self-identifying as in-house came out on top in this year’s data, at 41%, followed by agency folks at 31%, business owners at 15%, and independent consultants at 10%. In terms of their daily activities, social media was less of a priority for agency marketers than either in-house or independent consultants. Content led the way for independent consultants, although it was in the top 5 for all 3 groups. Not surprisingly, managing people was a higher priority for agency marketers, as was doing site audits for clients.

Entity Associations with Websites and Related Entities

Entity Associations with Websites and Related Entities: When Google decides to associate an entity with a particular query, it may also identify whether or not there are “related” entities showing up in those search results within places like titles and snippets, and include those entities within the search results as well. This wouldn’t require matching keywords with the original query or a PageRank analysis.
